The video game based on the movie Friday the 13th One of the most legendary films of the horror genre is back in video game format for PC. We're talking about the movie from the 80s', Friday the 13th, that has led to a long-lasting series starring the cruel and ruthless killer Jason Voorhees and his classic mask that, ever since, has inspired more than one Halloween costume. Return to the scenario of one of the largest movie killings. Friday the 13th is a third-personal survival horror game that intends to pay tribute to the movie directed by Sean S. Cunningham, taking us back to the main setting of the first movie, Camp Crystal Lake, where we'll have the chance to play the role of Jason himself or any of the characters that have to escape from the serial killer. Play as Jason or one of his potential victims In the case of taking on the role of Jason, who will have all the skills of a well-prepared killer, our mission will be to track, hunt and kill our prey in the most savage manner as possible, paying homage to some of the killing methods seen in the movie or inventing our procedures as we go. The first video game in which you can play Jason. On the contrary, if we decide to take the opposite side, we'll have to do whatever it takes to survive the slaughter hiding stealthily, fleeing as fast as we can or facing up against the killer and wiping him out before the does exactly that to us. Precisely this last game mode shows us the full potential of collaborative multiplayer mode, as we can choose with whom to build alliances and how to cope with this dramatic situation we're living. We can choose between building a team to defeat Jason, hiding in the woods waiting for the police to arrive or associating with a friend to find out how to escape together. Release date for Friday the 13th The Game The video game based on the movie is not on sale yet, but it's expected to be available on Steam during the first months of 2017. After a successful crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter, its developers have managed to raise the funds necessary to publish the game that can now be pre-ordered on its official website. Requirements and additional information This is a pay-to-play game downloadable from Steam. Requires Windows 7 or above. Offers in-app purchases.
Flashbacks tell the stories of the 13 passengers on a bus that crashes. comment Reviews Reviewer Dr Feel Stinky - favoritefavoritefavoritefavoritefavorite - September 14, 2019 Subject Charming film Reviewer Dr Feel Rotten - favoritefavoritefavoritefavoritefavorite - November 19, 2010 Subject Charming film I liked this one very much. It was slow to develop, but unlike our normal lives the people we want gone were gone here and the people you hope work things out actually do. From the absent minded wife to the cheating wife..the poor guy whose wife was leaving got out of his misery rather quickly and the young couple with the school teacher and the very hot dancer ended up well. The only bad one to get off was the carnival hocker, but he wasn't all that bad of a fellow after all. He would have gone off to prison, but got another chance at it while the blackmailer got his in the end. I enjoyed it very much indeed. 5 stars despite the slow development. Something odd was the opening credits the way they singly show each bus rider and his or her family and/or acquaintences.. That is very unusual. Reviewer Albert Schlef - favoritefavoritefavoritefavoritefavorite - October 13, 2010 Subject Isn't bad I downloaded this film secretly expecting some gory scenes. After all, it does have the same name as the American series "Friday the 13th", with Jason Voorhees and his chainsaw. Well, I was wrong. No chainsaws here. But this film isn't bad. It has its subtle charm. The film manages to create an aura of intimacy with you Much like a handful of other British films of that era. So I give it five stars. I had to watch the first half of the movie twice to better understand the contexts. I'm not sure it deserves 5 whole stars, but in comparison with other films here it surely does. Reviewer kareneliot - favoritefavoritefavorite - September 9, 2010 Subject Meh, but give it a chance, we all like different things, right? It wasn't exactly awful, but it was close. The story premise was a good one, and the acting wasn't all that bad. It's a story of a bus crash, then what happened right before the crash that put all of the passengers on the bus in the first place, then the crash again, then what happened after the crash... I found it convoluted trying to keep who's who straight and yet still a bit on the droll side. I almost turned it off, but started to watch it once before and the phone rang, and I never finished it, so I was determined this time, even though it kind of started dragging on, to finish it. I really think it's only worth stars, but halfsies aren't an option and I don't want to discourage other viewers because my tastes are very particular, so I'll give it three stars, but this one really was kind of dullsville. Points for Jessie Matthews being in this though, she SO reminds me of a super young Liza Minnelli. Reviewer doowopbob - - September 6, 2010 Subject ...'Nother Bad, Unwatchable Upload.. Movie Reviews Reviewed by 2 / 10 Jason Takes Prisoners After an exciting prologue involving your usual sex and pot crazed teenagers being dispatched by murderous woodsman, Jason Voorhees, Friday the 13th flies off the handle and populates the rest of the film with some of the most unlikable characters ever showcased in a slasher film and expects us to care when they're murdered one by one. We have no choice but to root for Jason and, I'm not sure about you, but I like horror movies where I feel bad for the people being stalked and the characters aren't absolute morons or jerks, they're boring. We have the lead, Clay, who keeps trying to find his sister, but that's his only major character trait and it's hard to connect with him. Even worse is his sister who spends the entire film cowering in fear and screaming as she's trapped in the killer's secret underground the 13th is yet another misguided attempt at remaking a classic film that forgets what made the original so compelling and watchable in the first place. Reviewed by brenthood00-951-475255 9 / 10 I genuinely don't understand the hate This is still one of the best horror remakes I've ever seen. It's got everything you could want in a horror movie, and they made Jason more beastly than ever! Good for die hard fans and newcomers!!There's not too many movies I could watch multiple times and enjoy just as much every time. Great cast too! It might not necessarily be anything "new" but it certainly breathed new life into the franchise, modern Jason rules don't know what else to say, anyone who hates this doesn't truly appreciate horror movies. Reviewed by jonflottorp 8 / 10 Great remake, but how is it underrated? I like this movie, but everybody says it's underrated and it really isn' i know likes this movie and almost every movie rewiewer i've watched on YouTube likes has some of the greatest kills of the franchise and the opening scene is great, the opening scene is probably the best part of the movie and i wish they made the rest of the movie as tense as it, but i still like the rest of the characters are memorable, but really bad, it has some of the best acting of the series, Jared Padalecki and Danielle Panabaker where both love the Crystal Lake setting, that will never get old to people says it's wierd that Jason doesn't kill Whitney, but that makes total sense to me because in part 2 Ginny tricked Jason into thinking that she was his mother just by putting on her sweater, in this one Whitney looks like Pamela Voorhees so if you don't think that makes sense you don't think part 2 does kills are the best of the whole franchise tied with part 4 to hate most of the characters, but they made them bad so you whould want them Mears is my second favourite Jason his performance was great and he made Jason favourite characters of the movie is Chewie and Lawrence, it seems like they really are good friends and care about each other unlike almost every other character of the Van Winkle did a great job making you hate Trent, i love his least favourite character of the movie is Trent and i'm sure a lot of people can agree with a great installment to the Friday the 13th franchise and i wish they maby one time make a sequel to it.
